PRE-RIDE/RUN INFORMATION
Want to check out the new course?
Meet some cool people?
Win some schwag?
Make sure your race uniform isn't see thru?
Come join the Phoenix Triathlon Club as they help guide you through the 2009 Nathan bike and run course...sorry, we can't exactly get the lake. PTC members will be on hand with race maps, schwag and have a group ride with a slightly faster group and a moderate/easy group.
NOTE - All riders are resposnsible for their own safety, and must follow all traffic rules. This is not an officially organized event. The roads are NOT shutdown...be smart. Bring a helmet or be not smrt/kewl.
No bikes will be permitted at the registration/packet pick up area.
We will have professional security all night long watching your bikes. They will be armed and dangerous :)
BIKE CHECK IN SATURDAY ONLY- Bike check in is Saturday only. No morning of check in this year. Please pick up your packet prior to checking in your bike. This is not a first come first serve bike rack system. The bikes are racked by your bib number so you will need your packet in order to find your spot. You'll have plenty of time to get your bike from your car and find your spot. Please for the safety and convenience of the other athletes, please do not bring your bike to the packet pick up area. For those of you who forget, we will have bike racks for you to use while picking up your packet.
BIKE CHECK OUT- In order to leave the transition area with your bike, you will need to have your bib number with you that corresponds with your bike sticker. No exceptions.
REMOVING YOUR BIKE AFTER THE RACE- The Red Rock staff wants to make this a safe event. We ask that all athletes wait until after the event is over to remove their bikes from the transition area. This is for the safety of all athletes and for the security of your bike. If for some reason you must remove your bike early, we ask that you exit through the "bike-out" transistion area ONLY. PLEASE do not try to remove your bike over our fencing. Our security team will assist you to the proper exit. Thanks!
