INTRODUCTION
Heck yea...get off yer road bike and hit the dirt...forget your skinny tires and aero helmets folks, this is a mountain bike duathlon.  No aero bars either.  This is the 4th year for the PBR Off-Road Duathlon and we want YOU to help us sell it out again!  Hands down, this is likely the best time you ever had IN spandex...for most of you at least.  Oh and the trophy for the winner is the size of a small child, or Larry Bernstein...

DIRECTIONS / PARKING
We are racing on the North side of Tempe Town lake.  Start is in the lake, by the boat ramp WEST of the Marina...near the volleyball courts...yea, the sand and the nets...right there...transition...in the sand this year!

PARKING - Spectators and athletes are welcome to park underneath the 202 Freeway in the free public parking spaces.  This is also known as Lake View Drive.  You may also park in the Marquee parking lot, or by Rio Operations (under the overpass).   Spectators, please be parked by 7:45 a.m. race morning. Park under the 202 along Lake View Drive and Mill Avenue and walk East along the path.
DO NOT PARK in the Marina, we would like to leave this area for boaters (hmmm, there won't be any...so I guess we have it all?!)  Thank you for parking elsewhere.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Special rates available!  Rates on this page are typically BETTER than expedia or travelocity.

Other...
There is no camping in Tempe Beach Park.  There are several cool folks in Tempe that may help you out with a place to stay, and there are also many awesome hotels in and around Tempe, as well as some off the charts resorts for thos that like spas after a hard race....

BENEFICIARY
This event will benefit those of you that have not been working out.  It will encourage you to swim, dust off your bike and run...and hopefully get fit.  It will also benefit your attitude, cause you are gonna have a good time out there...particularly when you hit the Slip-N-Slide at the finish.  Seriously though, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to help out various local charities, as we always do...we simply need to give back to the folks that help us help you have a good time.
